Law Labels for Bedding, Pillows and Upholstered Furniture: What Manufacturers Should Prepare
Law Labels for Bedding, Pillows and Upholstered Furniture
Ordering a law label is different from ordering a simple brand label because the physical label must reproduce content that may be dictated by regulation. Before requesting production, the manufacturer should determine the exact wording and any registration or disclosure requirements that apply to its product.
Prepare the exact copy first
Do not ask the printer to guess the legal text. Provide approved wording, formatting requirements, registration numbers where applicable, and the jurisdictions in which the product will be sold.
Plan the label size around readability
Dense regulatory text can require more label area than expected. Provide a realistic finished size or ask the printer to review the supplied copy against the desired dimensions.
Match material to use
Tyvek is commonly used when durability and legibility are important. The attachment method and product environment should also be specified.
